Biofilmography
Abdou Lahat Fall studied film-making at the ISIS school in Ouagadougou, graduating with a degree in cinema and screenwriting. He has worked as first assistant director for a number of film-makers including Moussa Sene Absa, Alain Gomis, Dyana Gaye, Bertrand Tavernier, Mansour Sora Wade, Marc Picavez…
In 2018, he directed his first documentary movie: “Migrants, migrer : le retour impossible” (59′). It won the Jury Prize and Audience Prize at the Faitodoc festival in Italy, then the First Documentary Prize at the “Image et Vie” festival in Dakar.
His first feature-length documentary film project is launched in 2020: initially entitled “République, Pétrole, Révolution”, then developed under the titles “La Maison du peuple en colère” and “Xare Bi – The Struggle”, it is currently in postproduction under the final title INDEPENDENCE TEY.
